1. Clean the Wound (Preparation)
Start by washing your hands thoroughly. Clean the affected area with saline solution or clean water to remove dirt and bacteria. Gently pat dry.
2. Cut to Desired Size
Measure the wound and cut the hydrocolloid dressing to fit. Make sure the piece is slightly larger than the wound for proper coverage and protection.
3. Peel After Cutting (Important Step)
After cutting, peel off the protective backing film from the dressing. This exposes the adhesive layer needed for proper sticking.
3. Apply and Secure
Peel off the backing and place the dressing over the wound. Smooth out the edges to ensure a tight seal and prevent air or water from entering.
4. Peel Off & Replace
After some time, the dressing may turn white or swell — this means it’s working.
Gently peel it off from one corner (like shown in the video) and replace it with a new one if needed.
